London: Eyre & Spottiswoode, 1962. First edition. Hardcover book complete in its original dust jacket (unclipped). 23 cm. 443 pp. Contains black-and-white illustrations. From the private collection of noted book collector/dealer, Horst K. Joost. In very good condition. Loosely laid within is a 37-page staple-bound bookseller's catalog (featuring the personal library of Rothenstein) issued by Elkin Mathews Ltd. in 1954. No ownership marks/writing present within. Hinges tight, interior pages bright. Moderate scattered spotting/foxing to the front/back matter and book block edges. Moderate edge wear, rubbing, soiling, spotting to the dust jacket (now protected under a removable mylar sleeve).
