Original sage green cloth-covered boards with gilt titling to spine. A slight 'pushing' to the foot of the spine, the top front corner bumped, but no damage, and a small bump to the very top rear edge - negligible. In the original publisher's pictorial dust-jacket. Some SLIGHT smudges/scratches from storage which are only seen if held up to the light, and the d/j is Not Price-clipped - original price of £18.95 showing. The d/j is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks FINE. 3rd ( Enlarged and Updated) Edition. (12) + 500 pages. Illustrated throughout with nearly 500 mainly black and white and some colour photographs, and text illustrations. Appendices giving lists of Champions, etc. Index. This is a new, updated edition, of the book 'Wimbledon 1877-1977' originally published in 1977, with a New Preface for this edition, and expanded and updated in 1981. NO inscriptions or other marks.
