Dustjacket has some repaired tears and is not price clipped. The author of the 'Colditz Story' reveals the story of Air Commodore West, V.C., who was British Air Attache in Berne and head of British Air Intelligence in Switzerland. The book describes his experiences when, with the British Minister and a handful of Legation Officers he kept watch for Britain and the free world in the island fortress, surrounded by the Axis Powers. His American colleaegues at the time were General Barnwell, D.Rhett-Legg and Allen Dulles, later Head of America's Secret Service. The book details his experiences in the First World War and with the Royal Flying Corps. 35 illustrations. 11. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
