Roosevelt's historical account of the exploration and settlement of the United States, from the Alleghanies to the Pacific Ocean. <br /> <br /> This is the coveted Daniel Boone Edition of this work, published in 1900 with an original sheet of Theodore Roosevelt's handwritten manuscript bound into the first volume. The volumes are stunningly bound in full green crushed morocco with floral ornaments in gilt to corners of boards. Inside covers inlaid with red suede with red suede doublures. Inside borders ruled and ornamented in gilt. Top edges gilt, other edges uncut. <br /> <br /> Ref. COLE A11l, binding A.
