About This Item

New York: Simon and Schuster. Near Fine in Near Fine dust jacket. 1979. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. A Near Fine first printing of the first edition in alike dust-jacket; When the Reverend Mr. Thropp moves into the small town of Westfield with his daughter and her new husband, the townspeople are suspicious. They don't believe that a man of the cloth could be a good husband for the beautiful Miss Thropp, and they think he's up to no good. But soon they learn that the Reverend is a man of God, and they come to love him and his daughter. One winter, a terrible snowstorm hits the town, and the Reverend and his daughter have to go to the safety of the church. The townspeople come to help them, and soon everyone is huddled together inside. The Reverend tells them a story about a winter walk he took with his daughter when she was just a little girl. The story is a reminder to the townspeople that even in the harshest of winters, there is still hope.; 8vo; $7.00 .
