Spine lettering pieces missing. Internally good. Quite heavy foxing to the frontispiece plate. Ex-library, with library label at tail of spine and early inscription "John Yates Library" in ink on the frontispiece plate. No other library markings. A couple of previous owner's signatures on front endpaper. Some foxing to title leaf. Remaining text pages relatively clean and free of foxing. Suitable for rebinding. ; Volume Two only. vii, [1], 511 pages + frontispiece plate. Contemporary half-leather binding, disbound with boards detached and losses at spine ends. Page dimensions: 211 x 134mm. Page edges sprinkled. ; 8vo .
