About This Item
Donald M. Grant, 1975. Very Good. First Edition thus, 4to hardcover in original dust jacket. Third "Deluxe Series" issue. First separate edition collecting six stories previously published in "Weird Tales" (1934), a pulp magazine. From the estate of Andrew J. Offutt, noted science-fiction, fantasy, and underground erotica writer, being his "extra-illustrated" copy, adding his own inked colors to nearly all originally uncolored internal illustrations. His mimicry of Austin's original palette is uncanny. Original 4 color plates and 7 line illustrations present, 5 with Offutt's colors. Very Good Plus in like jacket; slight lean, foxing, and jacket lightly rubbed, spine and folds toned, a few tiny chips.
