The World's Work (1913) Ltd, Kingswood, Surrey, 1962. First Edition. Hardcover (1/4 Boards 3/4 Boards). Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: Hildegard Woodward. The text is illustrated by Hildegard Woodward. 1/4 gray coloured back strip. 3/4 coloured papered boards  again by Hildegard Woodward, with pink and white coloured titles to the panels. An early 60s book, aimed at children, on conception. Softening of the back strip edges with a little chipping to the book corners  the underlying board is visible. Rubbing, stains and other various marks to the book panels  please see photograph. Foxing to the top book edge with rubbing to both the top and bottom edges. Age toning of the text block edges and pages with some handling marks and foxing also present. Browning and foxing to the back strip. This is the first UK edition.
