Inscription reads, 'To the Junior member of the firm of Messers Little, Brown & Company with the "English Compliments" of Mary E. Waller.' Waller, a Vermont native, would have been living on Nantucket at the time. Brown cloth spine with very thin wood veneer on boards. Lacks ffep.
