One of Appleton's "Tales for the People and their Children." First American edition. Engraved title-page and frontispiece. 178 pp., + 16 pp. publisher's catalogue. 12mo., dark purple cloth, decoration blocked in blind to boards, gilt-stamped decoration and title to spine. This is a fresh and lovely copy, having only a slight lean to spine, else fine.
