London: W. Johnston, 1766. This is a Very Good (Plus) copy of an early edition of Swift's works. Volume XVI only of a larger set. This volume contains miscellaneous writings, such as "Of Public Absurdities," "Hints on Good Manners," and "A Prayer for Stella." Full leather binding of smooth calf; five raised bands ruled in gilt; red compartment on the spine, ruled and titled in gilt as "Swift's works; the edges of the boards are decorated with gilt as well. Clean text; v, 296 pages. Bumped, but not cracked as most 18th-century books seem to be; nice presentation. Later Printing. Full-Leather. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
