London: Baynes, 1824. odd volume, half calf and marbled boards, front board almost detached, spine present but damaged, lacks one label, foxing affecting frontispiece and title page, and final page of text, text block otherwise sound and clean, pages lxxvi, 527. The introduction is a life of Bacon by an unnamed writer. Useful rebinder. I have eight others of the set, lacking only volume 8, spines generally much worn, bindings otherwise sound, text blocks all tight and clear of foxing. No inscriptions or library marks. All available at same price as volume 1, as a lot or separately. The images show the bindings of the set, which need attention, and also how clean they are internally - pictures show typical condition of pages throughout. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition.. Half-Leather. Fair/No Jacket.
