San Francisco: A. L. Bancroft & Company and the History Company, 1883. The Works of Hubert Howe Bancroft, 1883-1890. Complete in thirty-nine volumes. This set has recently been professionally rebound in full brown cloth with gilt titling to spines, red ribbon markers bound in, new white endpapers. Bindings are fresh, tight and fine. Contents of all volumes are very good with mildly tanned pages showing light use, tears to several pages, overall remarkably clean and bright. A landmark work and a cornerstone of Western Americana. Howes B91. Smith 522. Very heavy set: NO international or priority orders.. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo - 8" - 9" Tall.
