One of fifty numbered sets Editorial introductions by Paul Leicester Ford, Edward Everett Hale and Capt. Alfred T. Mahan. Each volume contains steel engravings reproducing the original illustrations by F.O.C. Darley with the frontispiece engraving colored by hand. Top edge gilt, fore edge uncut. Each volume is 8 1/2 inches tall. A stunning set.
