good, book has been read, has wear on spine volume one, some tears on pages, rear flyleaf volume one has several small holes, includes picture of Locke. this set is part of the DNA of being an American. Thomas Jefferson owned the 1740 edition and used some of the ideas in the US constitution. This set was owned by Felix Cohen, who codified American Indian Law. Lcoke's ideas and Jefferson's use of them continue throught the work Of Felix Cohen.
