Birmingham: Baskerville, 1761. hardcover. very good(+). 4 volumes. Engraved frontispiece portrait of the author by J. Miller after G. Kneller, and 10 other plates, three by C. Grignion after F. Hayman. Large 4tos, contemporary calf, recased, superb gilt spines. Birmingham: Printed by John Baskerville for J. and R. Tonson, London, 1761. A very good (+) copy.<br/><br/> "A beautiful and esteemed edition. Copies ... are seldom found free from stains". Lowndes 11. In 1761 Baskerville published a quarto "Juvenal" and editions of Congreve and Addison, "the three ranking with his best productions". DNB I 1282.<br/><br/>
