About This Item

London: Constable & Co., 1920. Book. Good. Hardcover. Seventeen volumes in original fine ribbed blue cloth, with blindstamped framing, lettered in gilt on spines, top edges gilt. All volumes sunned on spines, a couple of volumes with small nicks to spine ends, the later volumes have dulled/oxidised lettering on spines. Contents clean and tight. A good reading set. The later volumes (1916 - 1920) have dulled lettering on spines, probably as a result of wartime economies. This edition did not include Meredith's poetry. A large and heavy set which will require additional delivery costs..
