Spines have 4 raised bands, gold decoration and lettering. Marbled endpapers and edges. B&W frontis illustrations. Each volume has a personal bookplate inside the front cover, bearing the name of Tipping, Brasted Parrk, Kent. Colonel William Fearon Tipping of Brasted Park was High Sheriff of Kent in 1905.
