Odham, London, No date. Edition Unstated. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition/Good. maps and illustrations and index. The text is illustrated with maps and the occasional black-and-white illustration or reproduction of documents. Red coloured cloth covered boards with black insert to the top right-hand corner of the front panel and backstrip, and within those inserts gilt coloured titles. Facsimile gilt coloured signature of author to the lower edge of the front panel. Plain text dustwrapper with black coloured titles to the front panel and black and white coloured titles to the backstrip. "This volume opens with a flashback to review the circumstances which led Turkey to entering the war by Germany's side. It discusses the attitude of the Young Turk leaders and ends with the drama of the Goeben – relating how at the last moment Turkey made advances to Russia and then recording what counter-measures were taken by the Germans." -- from the front fold over panel blurb. There is no publication date easily accessed, but, probably 1940s. Softening and rubbing to the backstrip rubbing to the book corners and lower book edges. Browning and occasional foxing spot to the textblock edges and lighter Browning to the pages. Light browning of the endpapers with the occasional foxing spot. . Previous owners name tape to the top right-hand corner of the free front end paper. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges.
