About This Item

Signed. First Edition. Fine / very good. One of the 100 books published by the SMU press. International rule of law. Book is in fine, nearly unread condition. The dust jacket has a 1" tear on the top front cover, near the spine and very minor shelf and edge wear. It is inscribed to Jim and Ellie, who are the late Dr. James Brooks and his wife Eleanor. Dr. Brooks was Interim president of SMU at one time, having worked at many teaching and administrative positions throughout his long career. It is sarcastically inscribed "a touch of light summer reading" and signed by both authors (first names) on the front free end page.

About mark mcdonald

Book collector for over 30 years. I'm retired and ready to sell. I buy almost exclusively from estate sales and since I've lived in Dallas my whole life, I know the people and where to go. I am a low volume collector and seller and deal in higher quality books. I have a lot of signed and inscribed books. These signatures have not been officially authenticated, but I am confident in their authenticity so I will guarantee them in perpetuity if it can be reasonably demonstrated that the signature is incorrect. .
