About This Item

London: Collins. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. 1981. Reprint. Hardcover. 0002214385 . Red boards with bright gilt titling to the spine. In the original publisher's decorated dustjacket. Some minor 'shelfwear' - the jacket is complete with no loss, but there is a little ? 'rubbing' to the edges resulting in a little colour fading to the d/j edges. It looks pretty good, however. The dustjacket is Not price-clipped. There are lines of old sellotape on the front and rear pastedowns where the jacket had once been covered and stuck down (NOT Ex-Library) . The page fore-edges are slightly foxed (mainly the top edge) and there is a little to the endpapers . NO Inscriptions or Marks. 192 pp. Overall a Very Clean, Tight and Bright copy. " A rogue U--boat is patrolling the Atlantic coast, its fanatical crew ready to slaughter for a self--proclaimed dream of France. In the long dark years of the Cold War, not every battle merited centre stage. Many threats to Europe were imagined, but this one is very real. L'Alouette has to be stopped, eliminated before all out war prevails once again. Only one man can stop the threat, and the prospect of peace in Europe rests in his hands. They call him 'the Butcher of Perak! ' ." ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
