First edition, 8vo, pp. [6], 82, [2]; frontispiece and 34 illustrations in the text, many being full-page facsimiles of printed or manuscript materials; Inscribed by Allen to Herbert Cahoon, with compiler's insciption on front free endpaper, typed letter from Cahoon to the U of WI regarding a photoduplication request of Gilbert's The Happy Land, a small sketch of the exhibit, paper clipping of the TLS book review of Allen's book, all laid in; near fine in original red cloth lettered in gilt on spine. Descriptive entries and biographical essays to accompany the Grolier Club exhibit.
