About This Item

2007. Beautifully signed and inscribed to front of case by Donald Trump in bold gold: "Luke, Best Wishes, Donald J. Trump". Inscription contemporaneous with the 2007 Wrestlemania 23 'Hair vs. Hair' event. Two-disc set over four hours in length features the infamous head-shaving spectacle of Vince McMahon. Pictorial case, moderate shelf wear, rub. Discs appear fine. After twenty years, WrestleMania returned to Detroit in 2007 for the biggest night in sports entertainment. The superstars of Raw, SmackDown, and ECW collided at Ford Field for WrestleMania 23. The event featured championship matches with John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels, Batista vs. Undertaker, and the Battle of the Billionaires with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon facing off against Donald Trump. History was made, legends were born, and one billionaire left Detroit shaved. In January 2007, McMahon began a feud with Donald Trump, which was featured on major media outlets. Originally, The Donald wanted to fight McMahon himself, but they came to a deal: both men would pick a representative to wrestle at WrestleMania 23 in a Hair vs. Hair match. The man whose wrestler lost would have his head shaved bald. After the contract signing on Raw, McMahon provoked Trump with several pokes to the shoulder, so Trump pushed McMahon over the table into the ring and onto his head. Later at a press conference, McMahon, during a photo opp, offered to shake hands with Trump, but retracted his hand as Trump put his out. McMahon went on to fiddle with Trump's tie and flick Trump's nose. This angered Trump and he then slapped McMahon across the face. McMahon was restrained from retaliating by Trump's bodyguards and Bobby Lashley, Trump's representative. At WrestleMania 23, McMahon's representative, Umaga, lost the match. As a result, McMahon's hair was shaved bald by Trump and Lashley with the help of Steve Austin, special guest referee of the "Battle of the Billionaires" match. Classic hilarity. Insured post.. Signed by Subject. First Edition. Very Good.
