Norman, OK: University of Oklahoma Press, 1953. Hardcover. Fine/very good. New edition (first published in 1929). Fine copy in original green cloth, signed (without inscription) by Haley on the front free endpaper. Dust jacket has some rubbing, small chips, and old tape repairs to tears at head and foot of spine. Jenkins (Basic Texas Books 82) describes the first edition "as one of the most highly regarded landmarks in the literature of the cattle country." It recounts the development and operations of the famous ranch and its relation to the history of Texas.
