France, 1700-1789 with 21 chromolithographic prints and 351 wood engravings. Brown leather spine and corners. Edges are bumped with wear. Five raised bands on spine. Decorative gilt and lettering on spine. Marbled endpapers. Fore and bottom edges are age toned, top edge gilt. Some foxing. Binding tight. All plates with protective tissue, complete. Undated c.1878
