Printed for the author at Carswell's, Belfast.], 1951. First edition. pp [16]. Wrappers. One of 100 copies, most of which were sent to prominent literary figures of the time, most of whom failed to acknowledge receipt. Legend has it that Larkin miscalculated the postage cost which led to many people refusing to take delivery.Staples rusted. Spine fold splitting. Covers slightly tanned at the edges. Some tanning to inside of front cover and first blank. Faint horizontal crease. Very good. Custom-made card chemise and cloth slipcase. As bright a copy as any of the few others that have appeared in the last couple of decades.
