Second edition - revised, enlarged and corrected. Several line drawings illustrate the book. Presentation copy with ink inscription to the margin of the front paste down 'Compliments of the Malayan Committee of the Y. W. C. A.' and a letter to the owner from another lady involved in the production of the book. Light rubbing to the head and tail of the cloth spine and two corners lightly bumped, also affecting the page corners of the adacent pages. A small chip from the front board at the head of the spine. A small split of 1 cm to the head of the spine along the rear edge with the rear board. A small hole ? from a beetle to the front board - no other sign of insect damage. Publishers crease to the reverse of the front board, resulting in indentation line the length of the page for the first 61 pp of the book. Neat ink name inscription to the head of the title page and also to the rear paste down. Light stain to the rear board, both the front and rear boards look slightly tanned. The pages are clean and tight. A very good copy.
