About This Item
New York, New York, U.S.A.: Ives Washburn, Inc., 1963. Book Club Edition (BCE) . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. Earle, Edwin; Hewes, Alanson B.. The classic New Englanders cookbook, this new edition with updated measurements, portions, & cooking instructions, each recipe complemented with special anecdotes & local Yankee lore. In 398 pages with Index in rear, illustrated throughout with quaint pen-and-ink drawings. Originally published in 1939, this is the New Edition from 1963 (but a Book Club Edition thereof). With rust-colored cloth over boards & white design & lettering to front & spine, the hardcover book is in Near Fine condition, marred only by a light stain to top outside page edges. Else, completely clean & bright, binding tight & square; pages mildly tanned. Former owner's name/address stamp to ffep. The unclipped DJ is downgraded to VG due to some chipping (worst at head of spine) & spine fading. Nicely protected in new clear mylar cover. Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have!
