Off-white cover with black spine title, Philadelphia Year Book, and red-and-black cover title. Small bookseller's label on front fixed endpaper for Acres of Books, Cincinnati. Former owners' names on front free endpaper: Harry Hake, Jr., and Hy Myers. Harry Hake, Jr., was an architect in Cincinnati. Hy Myers (1941-2022) was an architect in Philadelphia who specialized in historic preservation. Features the work of many architects and landscape architects, including: designs by Day & Klauder for Delaware College and Wellesley College; winning designs from a competition for St. Paul's Church in Chestnut Hill by Zantzinger, Borie and Medary; designs for a house for Mrs. A. J. Antelo Devereus at Dark Harbor, Me., by Mellor, Meigs and Howe; preliminary sketches and photographs of Hunting Hill Farm (Walter Jeffords) by Wilson, Eyre and McIlvaine; a proposed municipal auditorium for Philadelphia by John T. Windrim; and photographs of the house in Haverford for Caspar W. Morris by Mellor, Meigs and Howe. Also contains a section on decoration with photographs of the murals in the Grille Room of the Hotel Traymore in Atlantic City by George Harding; and photographs of old colonial farm houses and barns in Pennsylvania by Ph. B. Wallace. Includes an index to the advertisers. Back fixed endpaper contains ad for Hydraulic-Press Brick Co. Scarce. In Very Good- Condition: cover is separating along front joint; loss at ends of spine; edges rubbed; cover is soiled and discolored; discolored area on front fixed endpaper; pages are clean and tight.
