New York: E.P. Dutton, 1951. First American Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo 8" - 9" tall. E.H. Shepard. The black-and-white illustrations by E.H. Shepard greatly augment this fine and delightful survey of the wit and wisdom of the beloved A.A. Milne, almost memoirish essays, what Milne calls "autobiographical table talk." Shepard also drew Christopher Robin, Winnie-the-Pooh, and Piglet, to name but a few characters. Bound in blue cloth over boards, very light wear thereto, light bumping to spine head and foot, else clean and unmarked of interior. Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, little worn, protected by a plastic coat, price-clipped. Frontis matter, 2-215 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
