About This Item

New York: W. W. Norton & Company, 1989. First edition. Hardcover. SIGNED. 173pp. Octavo [21.5 cm] 1/2 blue cloth with light gray paper over boards. Very good plus. The spine ends are gently bumped, and there is a subtle ding in the top edge of the front cover. There are a couple of small stains on the terminal leaves. The pictorial dust jacket is in near fine condition. Inscribed by the author on the half title page, and signed again by the author on the title page. Also, with a signed note card from the author tucked in. The author's book, Under the Wheat, won the prestigious Drue Heinz Literature Prize for Short Fiction.
