Rubbing and softening to spine ends and cover corners. 2 creased pages. No other markings. No dust jacket (as issued). 1080 pages. 6x9x1.75". (15.5x23.5x4.25cm "a great variety of recent scientific, technical, and economic information in short, [popularly written articles and in agricultural maps and statistical tables...a prompt outlet for much valuable new knowledge...primarily intended for farmers...The material reflects most up to date statistics as of 1929, when data was collected, while the book itself is published in 1930. The Secretary's Report to the President begins: "Widespread drought during the growing season of 1929 dried up pastures and reduced crop yields below those of any recent year." 1930 focuses on advances in agriculture science in the 1920s, including photographs of new techniques and crop types.
