CONDITION: The book is without a dust jacket. The outside is in good condition; there is some small sized white like paint or glue or paint to the back board near the center and a couple of the same spots to the front on the paste down (can possibly be removed). The bottom corner front edge has a minor fray. There are a couple of really minor ink like scratch lines to the fore edge. There is a name written in green ink on the front paste down and a code is written in red ink on the first front free endpaper. Book is without other marks or writings, pages are clean and book is tight and sturdy. All the pages are present in book. Good/None dust jacket condition. BACKGROUND/DESCRIPTION: ILLUSTRATED By N. C. WYETH. The book is the basis for the 1946 movie starring Gregory Peck and Jane Wyman. Both actors were nominated for Oscars for their roles.
