Book & DJ clean, bright & very attractive. 1st ed book ("A" & seal), in 1st state DJ. . 1st ed book, 1938 tp & cp dates, cp with "A" & Scribner's seal. More importantly DJ has publisher's synopsis on back panel. Next state DJ reprinted various reviewer's praises. Near flawless book. Very faint gutter line browning. Neatly inked name dated 1938 at very top of ffep. Flawless otherwise. Immaculate text block edges. Light green top edge with no hint of dust staining. Fore edges are deckled, the exposed edges of which of are normally great dust collectors. This fore edge as white as new. Same with the bottom edge. Immaculate cover. No rubbing, let alone wear, fraying or bumping. But for 1938 name, book's inside "MINT", "AS NEW", "VERY FINE". DJ very clean & bright but worn. See photos. .
