About This Item
Phoenix, AZ: The Hennacy Press, 1974. First edition. Paperback. Very good +. [SIGNED]. 342 pp. Octavo. Imitation leather wraps. Spine and covers toned. A Christian anarchist who refused to sign up for conscription or pay taxes, Ammon Hennacy lived a simple life of political activism. Written by his wife Joan Thomas, "The Years of Grief and Laughter" is a work of both creative fiction and sober memoir; Thomas blends magic realism with memory as she recollects her husband both before and after he was laid to rest after a heart attack in 1970.
