About This Item
Chicago: The Reilly & Lee Co, 1930. Hardcover. 8vo. Tan paper over boards with black lettering and illustration. (Ca. 100pp). Numerous line drawings. Very good. Faint edgewear and age toning to binding. A tight and nice first edition of this collection of cartoons poking gently fun at rural turn-of-the-century Americans. Fun (and clean!) limerick neatly penned on front flyleaf by original owner: "A bright young attorney named Mack, / In the evening lay flat on his back. / A takin' to look / At a silly old book / That the Fords put in old Santa's pack.
