About This Item

Austin, Texas: Texas Monthly Press, 1986. First edition. Hardcover. Fine/good. The state of Texas's vast size, its variation in elevation, and its strategic location between the towering Rocky Mountains and the gulf of Mexico make Texas the ideal playground for Mother Nature. If You Don't Like the Weather... is John Weems's special look at the weather's role in the making of Texas history and its folklore. Not intended as a meteorological study, this engaging and informative book explores the myths and facts surrounding the weather and describes how it affects our health, mental attitudes, and physical activities. Mr Weems has been a weather watcher for over 40 years. Black & white photographs and illustrations. Book is fine with little edge wear. The dust jacket, not clipped, is good, but was scraped on the lower front corner leaving marks and causing chipping of the jacket edge. The lower spine is missing a small piece and the upper spine is bumped and rubbed. The picture is a scan of the actual book.

About Trolls Treasure

Home-based, online sales only. I am running out of space to keep my collection of books, but I cannot bypass any chance offered at searching out some interesting venue offering books. I dithered for quite some time over this problem, and went right on buying books, until it occurred to me that I could make room for new purchases if I started selling some of my books. So, here I am, a small business, but offering personal service. Happy to answer questions.
