Boston: Published by Peirce and Parker, No. 9 Cornhill, 1832. Hardcover. 323, [1]p., quarter cloth over blue paper-covered boards. 7.75 x 5 in. Covers damp stained and slightly edgeworn at the corners; spotting to the interior. In the original publisher's boards and printed paper spine label. Early bookseller's label on front pastedown: "Sold by Whipple & Lawrence, Salem [Mass.]." Later bookseller's label on recto of front flyleaf: "This Old House Book Shop, 5399 West Holt Blvd., Montclair, California.". On the proper conduct of Christian life, aimed at younger and adolescent audiences. Abbott was the principal of the Mt. Vernon Female School in Boston.
