New York: Harper & Brothers, 1854. Hardcover. Fair. Bound in brown boards with gilt ornamentation and lettering on spine. Two plates prior to the title page separated by tissue guard. Volume XII in the Boy's and Girl's Library series by Harper & Brothers. Flyleaf with previous owner's name: "William Van Bus Kerk's / Book, Oct 17th, A.D. 1858." Boards soiled and worn. Interior shows some marking and general soiling/age. xiii, [1], (10)-194 pp. 6.25" x 4.25". An account of his shipwreck and residence for several months alone upon an uninhabited island.
