Sold as a scarce title despite the condition. 16mo, 6 1/4" tall, 284 pages, quarter-leather over paper-covered boards; b&w frontispiece of Lafayette. A good copy only with general shelf wear, cover edges worn through to boards, leather starting to split at the front hinge, front hinge broken but holding, binding relatively solid, paper lightly yellowed but with foxing throughout, a previous owner's bookplate, and with a very few scattered underlinings.
