Hardcover has blue cloth-covered board with decorative blind-stamped Rococo design and central gilt medallion. Spine has gilt lettering and repeats details of cover design. Binding tight. Hinges NOT cracked. Corners and spine ends bumped, rounded, and worn. Covers soiled and rubbed. White half-circle stain on front cover. Edges rubbed. Spine faded. Pastel yellow endpapers are foxed, especially over binding glue. Name in ink on front free endpaper. A few pages are dog eared. black & white frontispiece etching with tissue guard. Tissue has tear at bottom corner near spine. Shadow of etching on title page. Pages clean and unmarked, except for a few smudges in margins. 264 pages. No dust jacket. Four page list of Dayton and Wentworth publications at beginning of book.
