New York: The MacMillan Co., 1944. Macmillan 1944 on title page, A Wartime Book. Book Condition: Good green cloth wrapped boards with maroon title and flower design on spine. Light wear on edges of top & bottom of spine. A bit of wear on corners, rest of edges sharp. LIght sunning around edges of boards. Pages are a light beige with ages, clean, no writing, no marks. Pages tightly bound. Dust Jacket has tanning, wear, a few pieces missing around edges, in plastic cover. A nice illustration on cover of man and woman with log cabin in background. Flaps intact, no price. A nice, clean reading copy. A novel of frontier hardship in upstate New York. . Hard Cover. Good/Poor.
