About This Item

Cincinnati: Jennings and Graham. Good (see note). 1905. 3rd ed. hardcover. 12mo . 324pp . LACKS front free end paper. Frontispiece torn out, and laid back in. O/w in nice condition, w/ bright decoration, lettering. Aard had actually read this! Author's account of a 1903 rail and boat trip from WV, across Canada and up into the Klondike (which was then petering out); then back home through Califormia and across the heart of the continent. Not badly written; a bit jingoistic about Americans being better at everything than anybody, though. .
