1931. INOKUMA, Asamaro. Yusoku Genji Kagami. 2 volumes containing a total of 54 colour woodcuts. Oblong folio, 265 x 350 mm., in publisher's boards and a new chitsu case. Kyoto: Kondo Happodo, 1931. These two volumes comprise an extraordinary collection of exquisite design plates, which are also masterpieces of the printmaker's art. Each of the plates is divided in two and illustrates objects and scenes from The Tale of Genji. A truly spectacular work and of great rarity with OCLC listing only Bayerische Staatsbibliothek.
