Second German edition of The Microscope Made Easy.. First published in 1743, this was a popular book on microscopy by one of Britain's leading experts. Baker (1698 - 1774) won the Copley Medal of the Royal Society in 1744 for his microscopical observations on the crystallization of saline particles, which are included in the second part of this work. The first part covers the workings of microscopes, while second part contains descriptions of specimens such as seeds, hairs, insects, organisms that live in the mouth, sperm and blood.This edition also incldues a detailed description of Baker's "Universal Microscope".
