Bright red cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine, black dust jacket with white lettering and color illustration, frontispiece, 156 pp, 271 plates with 5 plates in color, oversized book. Strictly limited to 500 copies. "Little can be said of this book except that it is without parallel and esential to any collector of Persian, Indian or Turkish miniatures. Mr. Martin first began collecting material when at Bukhara in 1894 and the book was first published in 1912, since when it has become extremely rate and sought after. This reprint has been made with great care and includes the five beautiful colour plates of the original."- Dust jacket,
