Robert Benchley (1889 - 1954) was, in his lifetime, one of America's most renowned humorists. He got his start at "The Harvard Lampoon", but it was his many humorous sketches and stories for magazines such as "Vanity Fair", and "The New Yorker" that brought him accolades form the public. He was, also, one of the group of wits known as The Algonquin Round Table. (which also included Dorothy Parker, Harpo Marx, and Alexander Woollcott). "My Ten Years in a Quandary, and How They Grew" collects together 105 short humorous sketches by Benchley.
