Illustrator: Photographic and Illustrations. Preface to the first edition, from the preface to the second edition, preface to the translation of the second edition, Introductory Chapter: The Microclimate and the Micro Climatic Research, literature, sources of illustrations, author index and subject index. Cream-coloured end pages. The text is illustrated with numerous figures, tables, the occasional black and white photograph. Rust coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. First published in Germany in 1927 under the title "Das Klima der Bodennahen Luftschicht". A book, very early, on the study of microclimate – at the ground level and its ramifications. Translated by Milroy N. Stewart and Others. This book is an ex-library copy: – from the Defence Research Laboratories Library. Library stamp, along with cancellation stamp, to the free front end page and title page. Library barcode to the lower left hand corner of the title page and to the top right hand corner of the front panel. Due back pocket is still attached to the rear paste-down and library sticker to the lower edge of the back strip. Softening and a little rubbing of the back strip edges with rubbing of the top book corners and lower book edges. Surprisingly only light age toning of the text block edges. The cloth of the board shows a few rubs and marks. The end pages are somewhat yellowed, but, the text is clean and bright. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [3], IV - XXI, [4], 4 - 482 pages,.
