Preface to the 1961 edition, preface to the first edition, introduction by author, sources of illustrations, bibliography, abbreviations used in the bibliography, symbols and index. The text is illustrated with numerous figures, tables, the occasional black and white photograph. Black coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. First published in Germany in 1927 under the title "Das Klima der Bodennahen Luftschicht". A book, very early, on the study of microclimate – at the ground level and its ramifications. Translated by Scripta Technica, Inc. This book is an ex-library copy: – from the Defence Standards Laboratories Library. Library stamp, along with cancellation stamp, to the free front end page and title page and rear end pages. Library barcode to the lower edge r of the title page and to the top left hand corner of the front panel. Due back pocket is still attached to the rear paste-down and library sticker to the lower edge of the back strip. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges with bumping, rubbing and a little fraying of the book corners. The cloth panels are a little stain and flecked light tanning and staining of the text block edges and age toning of the pages. Two spots of white coloured paint to the top and bottom edge of the back strip are present. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [4], V - XIV, [2], 611, [3] pages,.
