Maroon cloth with gilt lettering. Boards have moderate soiling and wear; light dampstaining to front pastedown and endpaper. "The major purpose of this modest volume is to record the beginnings: the beginnings of the breed, the association, of the association's program and the first results" (preface). The book is divided into sections: the first section was written by Robert J. Kleberg, Jr. And provides a history of the breed; the second section is a schematic, technical history of the breed written by A. O. Rhoad. ; B&W Plates and Illustrations; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 94 pp .
